IVOXX is recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver on behalf of a well-established logistics and distribution business based in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable operation with long-term prospects and a clear route to permanent employment.
About the Role
This is a hands-on warehouse and yard-based position where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be responsible for unloading inbound containers and supporting the wider operation to keep things running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading containers using a counterbalance forklift
- Working on a busy ramp area handling a wide range of products, from bulk food items to household and garden goods
- Unloading an average of 2 containers per day (occasionally 1-3 depending on workload), including double-stacked/double-decker containers
- Supporting with manual handling where required - this is not a purely forklift-based role
- Taking initiative once primary tasks are complete, assisting with housekeeping or supporting other areas of the site
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
Essential requirements:
- A valid external counterbalance forklift licence
- Minimum 1 year’s counterbalance experience
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Able to work independently and think on your feet
- Willing to support the wider team when workloads allow
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday: 11:00 - 21:00
- 45 hours per week
- 1-hour unpaid break, split across the day
- £13.32 per hour
