We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics business for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to provide holiday cover on a short-term assignment. This is a great opportunity to secure immediate work with consistent weekday hours, weekly pay, and a supportive team environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading trailers and containers, including the use of loading ramps where required
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse and yard areas
- Wrapping pallets and preparing goods ready for dispatch
- Supporting with light manual handling and general warehouse duties when required
- Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure goods meet required standards
What We're Looking For:
- Previous Counterbalance forklift experience is essential
- A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house or externally accredited licences accepted)
- Confidence loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling alongside forklift duties
- Reliable, punctual, with a strong work ethic and good attention to detail
What You'll Get:
- £12.90 per hour, paid weekly in arrears
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)
- An 8-day temporary assignment providing holiday cover from 19th August till 28th August
- Free on-site parking and a full site induction
