We’re recruiting Production Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering stable hours, plenty of overtime, and the chance to build long-term skills within production and assembly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting with the manufacture of furniture
- Using a variety of hand tools and machinery such as screwdrivers, pillar drills, and basic power tools
- Assembling products as part of the production process
- Working with wood, fabric, and production materials
- Use of air assisted hand tools
- Using glue and adhesives as part of the assembly and finishing process
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet standards
- Keeping work areas clean, safe, and organised
- Supporting different areas of production as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, upholstery, or similar hands-on roles
- Comfortable using hand tools, air staple guns, and basic machinery
- Basic carpentry or woodwork experience is beneficial but not essential
- Experience working with fabric, foam, or soft materials is an advantage
- Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Able to follow instructions and work to production deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime when available
Hours & Pay:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:15
- Overtime available on weekdays and weekends
- Pay rate: £12.21 - £13.00 per hour, depending on experience and role
