Trainee Fabricator | East Wellow, near Romsey | £13.00 to £14.00 per hour | Temp to perm

We’re recruiting Trainee Fabricators for an established, growing engineering company near Romsey. They make bespoke plastic pipework, tanks and vessels used across various sectors. It’s a stable, forward-thinking company with proper training, support and the chance to progress.
This is a temporary to permanent role. After around 12 weeks with IVOXX you’ll move onto a permanent contract with the company.
What you’ll be doing
- Building products from technical drawings. Every job is different.
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling and assembling using hand and power tools.
- Learning plastic welding and jointing techniques
You’ll get full training through the company’s training academy. For your first 1 to 5 weeks, you’ll work alongside a trainer or an experienced fabricator.
What we’re looking for
- Experience using hand tools or power tools, whether at work, on a course or on your own projects at home.
- Experience in assembly, fabrication or injection moulding. For example, wheelchairs, medical beds, coaches, trailers or kit-form products.
- Comfortable reading technical drawings.
- Mechanically minded and good with your hands.
- A settled work history and looking for something long term.
- Your own transport. The site isn’t easy to reach by public transport.
Hours and pay
- Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm, Friday 7am to 1pm (44 hours a week).
- £13.00 to £14.00 per hour depending on experience (approx. £30,870 to £33,250 a year including the built-in overtime).
- Overtime at time and a third after 39 hours (£17.33 to £18.67 per hour).
- Weekly pay while you’re with IVOXX.
