We are working with a well-established distribution business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the warehouse.
This opportunity would suit a commercially aware, hands-on leader who can manage both people and processes while driving performance and maintaining high operational standards.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently while meeting customer and business requirements.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning, prioritising, and monitoring daily workloads to ensure on-time delivery performance

Leading and coordinating warehouse teams to achieve operational targets

Identifying and resolving issues quickly to minimise disruption
- Planning outbound deliveries and next-day load schedules
- Managing warehouse space, racking, and resources effectively
- Ensuring stock accuracy and alignment between physical and system records
- Implementing and maintaining warehouse systems and procedures
- Training and developing staff to ensure consistent performance
- Managing consumables and purchasing within agreed budgets
- Planning staffing levels, holidays, and overtime requirements
Compliance & Safety
- Ensuring all operations comply with Health & Safety regulations and company policy
- Conducting regular audits and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Supporting ISO-compliant processes and procedures
- Overseeing maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery
- Ensuring transport operations comply with O Licence and driver regulations, including tachograph checks
About You
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or senior supervisory role
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Experience implementing and maintaining warehouse systems and procedures
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
- Good IT skills with experience in stock control systems
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety and transport legislation
